Art is one of the most important aspects of a video game, and Pokémon is no exception. The Art room on Pokémon Showdown! is a gathering place for Pokémon artists of all skill levels and mediums to meet, receive feedback, and share their works.
News and important information
The agenda of our room is to help and encourage artists of all skill levels and ages to improve and aid the community in evaluating one another!
WEBSITE UPDATES:
We're actively working on compiling a list of useful art references. If you have an idea worth adding, message @a deer or #Lyren. Check the bottom of the References page for examples of what we're looking for. If you need help or have found a helpful Pokemon reference, check the Pokemon References page, curated by @a deer.
ROOM BANNER INFO:
Every day a new banner is displayed in the room intro. A collection of them all can be viewed in the slideshow above. You can submit your own by sending a copy to any of the mods in chat!
Your banner should have dimensions of 793 x 200px. In the room itself, the banner is displayed at 494 x 120px in order to make it visible to users of all screen resolutions. Please do not use a solid white or black background. You can use solid colors and shades close to these, but at least attempt to use good coloring practices to not overdo the contrast in the piece and against the Showdown background.
